Syndaco is a musical project that was born out of a chance encounter in a rehearsal room, embodying the spontaneity and authenticity that define its sound. The name was coined by Falloppio, the eccentric lead singer of the comedy metal band "Trombe di Falloppio," who randomly started calling him "Sindaco," which means "mayor" in Italian. The nickname stuck, and when Syndaco began exploring his new musical direction in April 2023, he adopted it, tweaking it slightly to the more internationally appealing "Syndaco."
From an early age, Syndaco was surrounded by music, playing various instruments and diving deep into hip-hop culture during his teenage years. These formative years saw him become a key member of the rap group Secondo Clan, marking his entry into the music world with a partecipation at the "Accademia della Canzone di Sanremo". Later, he continued his musical journey with another rap group called Eretici, further honing his skills, producing several projects, and performing at venues across Italy. This deep-rooted connection to hip-hop provided a strong foundation for his eclectic musical tastes, which are evident in his work today.
After some initial success, Syndaco made the unexpected decision to step away from music in 2009. However, in 2017, he found his way back, working as a sound engineer and reconnecting with artists from various genres. It was during this period of rediscovery, prompted by a personal crisis, that Syndaco decided to fully commit to his music, a choice that has redefined his creative path and led him to explore new sounds and styles that resonate with his unique artistic vision.
Syndaco’s musical style is heavily influenced by a diverse mix of genres, ranging from rap and disco to funk, new wave, retro game soundtracks, and a wide variety of house music. His discovery of the outsider music scene was a pivotal moment, encouraging him to let go of perfectionism and release music more frequently, embracing raw authenticity over overly polished production. This philosophy has helped him connect with an audience that values the honesty and immediacy of his music.

Currently, Syndaco releases tracks regularly on major streaming platforms, a practice that began as a playful experiment but has grown into a steadfast commitment. Despite periods of wavering motivation, he has remained persistent, often driven by uplifting events and the continuous improvement of his craft. He is also collaborating with a jazz collective in Turin and performing as a DJ at local venues, blending genres and eras to create unique, immersive experiences that captivate the audience and showcase his versatility.Syndaco’s music and philosophy are deeply intertwined with his personal journey. Diagnosed with adult ADHD in March 2016, he has undergone extensive psychotherapy and personal development, which have helped him navigate life's challenges and channel his experiences into his music. He does not set lofty goals or rigid missions; instead, he enjoys living in the moment, aiming to spread positivity to everyone he collaborates with. His music is a testament to living in the present and finding joy in the process rather than focusing solely on the end result.
Growing up in the 1990s, Syndaco’s aesthetic is heavily influenced by that era, a time when he began to explore his artistic potential. However, he is not fixated on nostalgia; his work is forward-looking, always pushing the boundaries with new sounds while maintaining an ethical commitment to promoting fresh, innovative music. This duality between past and future is what makes his music so captivating and unique, offering a bridge between different musical worlds.
Looking ahead, Syndaco embraces uncertainty without setting specific expectations, preferring to let his musical journey unfold naturally. He takes risks and enjoys the path without setting goals that are beyond his direct control. He finds inspiration in everyday life, composing music in a city park rather than a studio, a change that has improved his mood and productivity and allowed him to connect with curious passersby and immerse himself in the surrounding environment.
Interacting with fans mainly through social media and live performances, Syndaco values the simplicity of his setup: a MacBook Pro running Ableton Live, a compact Arturia MIDI controller, and a pair of studio headphones. Occasionally, he adds a portable speaker to the mix. He also incorporates vintage samplers like the Akai S900 and Roland DJ70, whose limitations and challenging workflows foster creativity, pushing him to explore new sounds and ideas that keep his music fresh and exciting.
Syndaco’s music is more than just sound; it is an evolving narrative of growth, exploration, and embracing life’s beautiful unpredictability. Through his unique blend of lo-fi house and a diverse array of influences, he continues to build a sonic world that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern, inviting listeners to dance, reflect, and lose themselves in the beat, carried away by the emotion and authenticity of his art.
